The best places to visit

When I left you last, I was having the time of my life in Thailand. I’d just begun exploring the Trang islands and had made my way from Koh Ngai to Koh Mook to Koh Kradan. Up next: Koh Libong! Libong is known for being one of the quietest islands in the province while also being the largest. Despite its size, there are just five guesthouses here, with four of them occupying the same beautiful stretch of sand. After a whirlwind few months full of movement, travel and very little relaxation, this month I finally found time to stop. …And you probably won’t be surprised to hear that I stopped in Chiang Mai, somewhere I’ve lived three times in the last three years — I just can’t seem to keep away! I didn’t really know what to expect from Koh Lanta apart from the fact it was a popular Thai island. I also knew that it’s a popular destination for digital nomads in Thailand. Some of my friends were trying to convince me to check it out – so I let them convince me – after all, I can be a good friend once in a while, ha! Imagine beautiful beaches and crazy shades of blues. The water is pretty still, the beaches are quiet unless it’s sunset time – then you can pick a beach bar and enjoy their happy hour deals. Koh Lanta is the perfect reflection of the typical island vibes. Don’t stop there though – rent a scooter- drive around. It’s a pretty small island so its easy to drive around. You might discover empty beaches, fun cafés with a view but more importantly, you’re going to soak in those great tropical vibes.
